Thanksgiving... Today is Thanksgiving. I like Thanksgiving for many reasons. The primary reason would have to be that our country decided to always put it on a Thursday, which usually means you get to take Friday off too! Because it's just silly to come back from a Holiday only to work one day and go into the weekend.
I chose this scan for a couple of reasons:
1. Macy's is an American Institution
2. They host a Parade on Thanksgiving that is always way too long and has way too many commercial breaks and way too much lip syncing, yet I still love it.
3. This scan also shows Santa and it's a little symbolic of the Holiday season that will be ushering in tomorrow with Black Friday.
4. This scan is from an ad and I love to look at all the ads on Thanksgiving morning as I eat breakfast.

On this Thanksgiving, I want to thank all of my blog fans for reading this trivial mess.

Happy Birthday Mom... Today is my Mom's Birthday. It is tradition in our family to post many a notes all around wishing a Happy Birthday. While celebrating with my family, I decided to steal a sign my sister had made... Good Job Sis (you remembered). My mom is a special person that has always taught me to love everyone regardless of where they come from or what their background is. As a result of this, She has also taught me to open my mouth and talk to everyone around me and share my thoughts and ideas with them. I feel I do that pretty well, but still not quite as well as she does. She deserves to have her day (especially for having to put up with me)... Happy Birthday Mom!

Amanda Bynes... I attended an odd Birthday party tonight. To be honest, I thought the idea was a little weird, but as most things go, it turned out to be fun. PLUS, I got told how cool I was (everyone did). Amanda Bynes is a pretty cool (from what I know) person. She makes awkward/weirdness look cool and lol hilarious. Beyond being told how cool I was, i got some NOWandLATERS. I haven't had those in a long time. I am looking forward to enjoying them through my day of work tomorrow (Thanks Linzi & Amy).

It's My Birthday... Because it is my birthday, I can break all the rules. These aren't scans and I am admitting it. But, it's my birthday. A co-worker bought me a breakfast buritto, because it's my birthday. They also took me to lunch.... I drank too much Coke.... got Winger's stomach... but, it's my birthday. They decorated my desk and got me some pie, because it's my birthday. I blew out all of my candles and tried to eat the frozen pie, because its my birthday. I went with my sister's to get a pedicure (it was my first and probably my last)..... because, it's my birthday. I got a toaster oven and domino's pizza.... because it's my birthday. I had a good day and enjoyed all of the birthday wishes.... Thanks!

Oscar Party... The Oscar party has come and now it's gone. I lost the Ballot competition and therefore have lost my reign of the Oscar trophy. As you can see I only got 12 right. My mom won with 14. I tried. Had I gone with my gut feeling of Bourne Ultimatum in the Editing categories, I would have won. So much for following predictions. It probably didn't help that I had only seen Juno. Oh well, the food was good, I made homemade soft pretzels. Don't mean to brag, but they were good.

Oscars... This scan was difficult, because my scanner isn't big enough to fit my award. This award is the official "Oscar Ballot Champion" Award. I won it at last year's Oscar party for guessing the most correct winners. We have been having these parties for quite some time... The first more official one I can remember was the same year that Titanic won a bazillion awards... I know we've been having them a lot longer, but that's the first that comes to mind. It's actually become quite an event. Food, Games, Fun.
