USPS... I went to the post office yesterday and it came to my attention (again) that when you get the government involved in something, you screw it up. The USPS is anything BUT service. You stand in a line under flickering fluorescent lighting wondering how you could avoid this place the next time you need to send something. You are told by the 5 people behind the counter that their station is closed and you must wait for the one employee that is still available. You get up to send something and they tell you that you could pay more to guarantee your mail. Why would I pay extra for something that they should be doing already? What their really telling you is, you really should pay us extra to do our job. Then the employee gets upset with you because you weren't aware that the price of stamps went up the day previous. TO ALL: I am sorry that I don't keep up on stamp prices. The USPS is a monopoly. We have allowed a partially tax-funded entity to handle our mail. Do they have to compete fairly? No. Do they care if their expenses exceed their revenues? No... they just raise the price of a stamp. And on that note, stamp price increases are a conspiracy. They just want you to be so confused that you'll never use all of your old stamps. Well guess what? You can't fool me, I am on to you USPS!! I am all for privatizing the USPS and forcing them to compete with FedEx, UPS and DHL.

Tags... The weather still sucks, but I needed to say something about tagging. I think its lame. Remember when it was cool to send & fill out those 50 question surveys about yourself via email??? Yeah, that's not cool anymore and blog-tagging has hit its limits as well. So, to all of you that are just dying to "tag" me. Don't bother. I'll ignore it or delete it. Don't take it personally, I just find them to be lame. And guess what? It's ok for you to like "tags"... I just don't.

Christian Concert... The weather is good, so I am back (but, if it goes bad again, I am back on hiatus in protest). I went to a Christian Pop/Rock concert. I knew of two of the artists and some of their songs. But, I think I was more interested in seeing the crowd. It was very interesting. The parking lot was full of Christian bumper stickers and Jesus fish emblems. They were a fun crowd that was full of a lot of religious fervor. The music was good too (minus disciple). I even bought a cool new hat. The hat has netting on it (this is a big step for me).
